I grew up in Sacramento, CA. I’ve obtained one bachelors in French and the other, Art History from the University of Oregon in Eugene, a masters in Art History from Tulane University in New Orleans, and a dual-masters in Black Studies and the History of Art from Yale University.

I began working with museums as a volunteer and education intern at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and later as a volunteer for the Seattle Art Museum. Later, I worked as a curatorial fellow at the New Orleans Museum of Art before being hired full-time as a curatorial assistant at the UC Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive. I’ve since worked as a curatorial associate for Prospect.5 Yesterday we said tomorrow held in New Orleans, October 2021–January 22, a curatorial fellow for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and as a research assistant for the Yale University Art Gallery.

I have also served as an independent consultant and exhibitions committee member for various arts organizations and institutions, from the Sonoma County Museum of Art in Santa Rosa, CA to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

I also maintain an active independent curatorial and art writing practice which you can read about more at the links below. [For a more human description of me and my research and curatorial interests, see the about page.]
